Welcome to the city of Dryanovo - Bulgaria
Hello, A forgotten history that every Bulgarian can be proud of. Nikola Ivanov Fichev, known as Kolyo Ficheto and called mouth "master" He was born in the town of Dryanovo in 1800.He knew Turkish perfectly, spoke Greek and Romanian wellHe died in 1881 in Tarnovo, where today his grave is located in Druzhba Park. Nikola Fichev is considered to be one of the most prominent Bulgarian revivalists. He was appreciated by his contemporaries as a master (mouth), and by his heirs as an award-winning master of national architecture. Many are the bridges, houses, churches, belfries and fountains that he created with his hands and put into them a piece of himself. I visited the town of Dryanovo and took pictures of a small part of the buildings created by this great man, which have been preserved to this day.
The building art of our ancestors, it is known in many old sources. I am amazed by the skills of the builders who created these masterpieces that are still preserved today.
