“Suffer the Pain of Discipline..or suffer the Pain of Regret.”

I could still remember vividly the day I decided to take up the course I wanted since I was a child; junior kindergarten to be exact. I always wanted science..I’m always thrilled with the word science ever since I was a child. I always wanted to be involved in all the discussions and eagerly listens and watch the wonders of science.

When I was at this age, I know exactly what I want to be when I grow up. “I want to become a Doctor!” That’s a tag-line when we were asked to wear a costume..but as far as I remember, I did not wear a white coat nor white skirt..🤣 I just remember that I was in front of many people and yelled on the microphone saying those words and then walked away🤣🤣🤣

As the time passed by, I saw a set of toys containing instruments of Dentists..I saw the kidney basin, forceps, little mirror for teeth, the explorer and the one that really caught my attention was the HUGE SYRINGE😅😅😅  I was really thrilled at that time, like my eyes were sparkling and cannot take my eyes off of it. So when I got home, I told my mom what I wanted to be exactly. I told her that I wanted to become a Doctor with instruments for teeth..😅 She laughed at me with excitment and said “You wanted to become a Dentist? Ok you will become a Dentist if you study well..😉”. And those words kept on playing inside my head..

Fast forward up to the present..😅 I took up BSN, graduated from it, and passed the board exams. Been in the profession for decade and still hustling for whatever purpose I have now. Since we all know that prior taking Major Course for a Major Profession, it is a must to take a pre-course in a certain profession that you are aiming. So I took up this course for my Ultimate Dream. To become a Doctor.

I am still suffering because I am the one who discipline myself to learn more, and study more..but I do not regret that I did not push thru with my ultimate dream to become one of them..I am grateful that I became an instrument to render care to my patients, even my friends and my family. I am in awe seeing my collegues/classmates in the hospital with salutations of “Doc!” or just by seeing their white coats with their names embroidered with 2 letters MD at the end of their name..☺️🥰  I salute you all guys! You made it! And I’m proud of it..☺️  I am just contented with my life, living with my loving family, even if we’re just three..🥰🥰🥰
