While scrolling on my TikTok page, I couldn't help but watch endless Miss Universe–related videos. I still remember how rigged the pageant felt. Imagine their strongest candidates ending up at the lower end of the runner-ups. Yesterday, I also rewatched Pia Wurtzbach’s and Catriona Gray’s performances during their pageants. With that, I realized why Pia’s win is often seen as a surprise win, while Catriona’s is viewed as a sure win. Good evening, still.
