Since I can't move on from the results, I rewatched past Miss Universe wins. I watched the 2015 and 2018 Q&A rounds again this afternoon. I was in Grade 5 and Grade 8 when they won. Now that I’m in my fourth year, I finally understand why they succeeded. Their answers were clear, sincere, and confidently delivered on stage. As someone who's intellectual to understand their answers, I still can’t accept Mexico’s win. It feels confusing, and the judging looks questionable in many parts. That is my coping mechanism for today, I guess. BLACKPINK is here in the Philippines, and I’m pretending I’m unbothered.
