I'm currently in the decision phase of buying a new smartphone. My phone badly needs a replacement. On my 21st birthday, I applied for SPayLater and got a ₱3,500 credit limit. I also got ₱6,500 in total birthday gifts from my relatives. I also researched how I will optimize this opportunity by looking for a phone that fits my needs and budget. I have this phone on my mind, where they offer 0% interest for my credit limit. The phone is worth ₱7,759. Then, I remember that I can get an estimated ₱3,500 from my relatives during our reunion or Christmas. If that's the case, I can fully get my credit limit. However, I think it's safe if I only get a phone worth ₱9,000 and not fully stretch my ₱10,000 limit. If I pay upfront the ₱6,500 already and get ₱9,000 worth of a smartphone, the only amount that I will credit is ₱2,500. I can pay my installment for November and December. Then, for the rest of the month, I can fully pay my loan.
