While scrolling on Facebook, I saw the year-end results of my fellow Filipinos’ most-played artists. It wasn’t surprising to see many of them leaning toward hugot songs. I also checked their top tracks, and “Multo” by Cup of Joe appeared the most. I love that song too, but I prefer music that boosts my dopamine. That’s why I often listen to English tracks and replay anything that feels groovy or catchy. Last year, my most-played songs were “Pantropiko” and “Salamin Salamin,” which were BINI’s biggest local hits.
