5th Anniversary Special: Never-Stated-Thoughts It’s been a couple of months since my last post here, and it’s obvious that I mostly share short updates now. Writing full articles or blogs here no longer feels worth my time. However, posting short updates (although earnings aren’t guaranteed) still feels worth pursuing. Now that it’s my fifth anniversary on this platform, I’d like to share how I evolved as a writer. I also want to talk about things I haven’t fully articulated or shared yet. Maybe I didn’t even realize before that they were worth writing about. Months Before I Entered Here During the fourth quarter of 2020, I remember being addicted to Coinpot. It was a crypto faucet platform where you could earn money by claiming free crypto. Once you accumulated enough, you could stake it for higher rewards. It felt like gambling, but the money I used was completely free. I still remember how fulfilling it was to earn $10 after more than ten days of grinding. During the first week of January 2021, I was also active on online chat platforms. Take note that this is the first time I'm going to share it with all of you. I was extremely bored because of the pandemic. You wouldn’t believe how many weird people I encountered where they send lewd photos and invite me to do nasty chats. If I’m being completely honest, I would use that humiliating experience to apply as an OF chatter. I thought I’d find someone to talk to, but it turned out to be the opposite. Aside from that, I also spent time grinding my Current account. That's the platform that claimed you could earn by listening to music. My first strategy to get referrals was messaging random strangers for promotions. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any referrals from that. I think it's not worth of my time since I only earned $5 after more than two months of grind. That phase is something I’ll always remember. But after all those silly experiences, things started to change when I saw a post that eventually changed my life. Second Week of January 2021 I still vividly remember a random Saturday (January 9) when I saw a post saying you could earn money by sharing motivational posts. The platform mentioned was noise.cash, and I immediately signed up. It also had free tips powered by BCH and you could convert it to PHP. On our first day, my cousin and I grinded together and earned $4. I became used to create multiple accounts whenever the free tips ran out. I also have to admit that I ignored some of their rules and regulations. That was also the day I discovered this platform through a random user and decided to register. When choosing my username (kingofreview), I told myself I wanted to review different things on my blogs. That's why you noticed that my second blog is my Top 5 Favorite Songs From The Weeknd since that's what I wanted to do. I later realized I wanted to rebrand, but I couldn’t change my username anymore. It was a random early morning when I was surprised that Rusty visited my article. Imagine earning $6 in a single day! I remember smiling nonstop because he finally noticed me. I was still a kid at that time, so that reaction was completely normal. Plus, looking for a side hustle that gives you big money is so rare until now. February 2021 Unfortunately, being too focused on these platforms caused me to neglect my studies and cram a lot. Still, I didn’t let my grades completely fall. I treated the platform like my own version of ChatGPT. Whenever I asked accounting-related questions, many people answered. If I found their responses helpful, I’d give them free tips. My mother scolded me because of my poor performance during the third quarter. I felt bad, especially since I always rushed my modules and LAS whenever she needed to submit them. It sounds funny now, but thankfully, I read *Atomic Habits* by James Clear before I became a Grade 12 student. I trusted myself that I would change, and my discipline in studying didn’t fade. It actually improved as I get into my college era. March 2021 After two months of grinding on Noise, my account was eventually banned. I admit that I used to organize mini-games in exchange for free tips. I was greedy for followers and inorganic engagement back then. Even after creating a second account, I didn’t receive free tips anymore. It was frustrating, and I felt left behind. Eventually, I changed my IP using my SIM card, created a new account, and rebranded myself. I focused on sharing slice-of-life content and started earning again with ease. During that time, my mother banned me from using my phone every evening. As a timid child, I would secretly use it in my bedroom while everyone was asleep. I do it just to post random content and I never regret disobeying it. Of course, I still tried to make my posts engaging and meaningful. One post I remember writing was about my thought if someone offered $10 million to slap my mom. I joked that she would slap me if I didn’t accept it. By the way, that phase was just chaotic, rewarding, and fulfilling. Despite earning from posting nonsense, the most memorable during those times is when Simon comment on my posts. It wasn’t just once or twice, but it happened many times. I sometimes joke onto myself and friend if he's one of my subscribers. By the way, it's just a joke and I hope you only take it lightly. April 2021 Even when I experienced dry periods from the bot, I didn’t give up. There were times I felt jealous while pretending it didn’t bother me. Back then, the only thing I held onto was Rusty’s visits, even if they were small. I just kept doing what I thought was best and eventually managed to get out of the “Khia asylum.” The rest is history. Although this platform is not as rewarding as before, I’m still happy that it still exists. You don’t know, Mr. @Read.Cash and Mr. @MarcDeMesel how much you changed my life. In fact, I don’t think I would even have the laptop I use today without this project. I also can’t imagine becoming a TikTok affiliate now, as I discovered it through a virtual friend I met here. On top of that, I was also introduced to paid writing gigs just almost two years ago after providing my writing services to my co-writer on this platform. I’m truly grateful for everything. This won’t be the last blog I’ll write here. But, who knows what the future holds.
