Another alien character design, I didn't have a plan for this one, just relied on happy accidents and picking out the parts that stood out. Done with pastel and pencil on an A5 pad.

This creature turned out a bit more bizare than I planed but I went with it. There was no real concept for this character just a wierd alien looking dude. Done with pastel and pencil on an A5 size pad.

Cyborg sketch. Female science fiction character. I had no reference for this one but i have done a few like this. I used pastel chalk, graphite and charcoal pencils on an A5 pad. This took around an hour.

Alien character. I had an idea for a big worm like creature for this one, he has a very sinister look about him. Done at A5 size with pastel chalk, graphite and charcoal pencils.
Sea monster. I went for an aquatic type design for this creature and wanted the shape to be more streamlined so it can move fast through water. Done at A5 size with pastel chalk, graphite and charcoal pencils.

Bio-organic design. Abstract bio style sketch. The process for this started with laying down a rough shape with a cotton ball and black pastel chalk, I then use a cotton bud to refine the shapes bofore using Staedtler Mars black pencils. (4B,8B) To finnish the drawing I use a Derwent charcoal pencil, and an eraser for any highlights. A5 size.
Sci-fi character Mecha style robot drawing done with pastel chalk, graphite and charcoal pencils. I liked this style of robot since I was a kid but they never apeared in many live action movies, now that CGI is alot better and Manga is getting more popular in the west that should change. A5 size.
