Today, I will be talking about one of our coworkers who has been silently kicked out of her position. I will not mention real names or positions but I will set examples for you to understand.

Here's the situation..

Karla has one of the biggest role in their company. Mira is a clerk by nature but functions as a secretary of the company president.

Karla started working smoothly the time she got appointed to her position. As time passes, she has started to slow down for no reason. She gets things undone, came in late and always gets poor results.

The president observed this behavior but he chose to kept silent, though sometimes he gets angry for getting less accomplishment from her. The other employees observed the same. Some would talk behind her back cause aside from her lapses, she wear inappropriate dress. Or even gets in trouble for misuse of authority like getting mad with employees who borrow a gallon of water by asking her staff's permission while she has not yet arrived. Imagine yourself choking, do you really have to wait for her to arrive to get her approval over a gallon of water?? She's three hours late! It's an emergency, besides, that was just an extra and will be replaced as soon as the stocks are delivered on the same day.

Sometimes, the president would designate her functions to Mira to be able to catch up with the deadlines. Mira has a high competency yet the lady sometimes shows some attitude as observed since she almost decides in behalf of the president.

For three years the office heads had been trying to find a way to pull Karla out of her table. The president finally gets fed up and issued an Order for reassignment of personnel. The order was immediately disseminated to the personnel concerned except Karla.

She walks in the hallway seeing the others pack up their things until she came across with a co worker who congratulated her on the new designation. Karla was shocked! 😱 She will be transferred immediately without her knowledge and was not even consulted on this matter.

She angrily went straight to her superior and discussed with it. Then to the president afterwards. She won the discussion and the Order has been cancelled.

Later that day, out of rage, she posted the issue on her socmed wall. And the next day, she wrote another post and everyone in the office were able to read it.

Talk of the week

This issue has become the topic for the whole week. It has gained so much attention since personal interests are slightly showing up in this issue.

Karla has so many lapses and issues with her position. She was promised to get promoted yet that didn't happen. She will be transferred to a position without the official appointment, thus, it will result to a floating position if not formally initiated. But she's smart enough to get the point and asked the president to promote her first before she leaves her current position.

The company's action came out to be so unprofessional. They have not executed evidence of Karla's incompetency, yet they throw her away like garbage without her knowledge. They have not even issued warnings if they thought she's not doing her job right.

It was all planned! They're putting her down but without formal basis. There is no due process in their actions.

Some employees were laughing over the issue since Karla deserves to be replaced. Yes, but that is so not the proper way to do it. It showed an abuse of authority among the people who initiated this. The president has used his authority and power to take such unlawful action.

She was mad at Mira. Do you think Mira is in good faith? I bet she's not. Everyone knew where they are going to be transferred before the Order was issued. She should have atleast refused the offer. So, does Karla have the right to get mad at her?

This is one reason that demotivates me to work. There's too many issues about unlawful displacement of employees. You'll never know when is your turn. If the management does not like you wether you have good performance or not, you'll be replaced without knowing.

It happened to an officemate last year. She went out for a while, she's not able to come back for an emergency. The next day, she was kicked out without proper information. She cried a lot but that was her blessing in disguise since she has a growing business now.

This past few days I have been thinking too much about my status. I feel so uncomfortable at work with these toxic personalities. I can't focus on things because one small action becomes a big issue. This is not the office I used to work with 10 years ago.

If only the company did it the right way. I guess the president wasn't advised properly about the right way to do it? I worked in a certain office for a brief moment and I have already seen how people wore two faces. I am amazed how they have learned to do that. They do laugh and be civil but there is still that animosity in the air. I worked in a bpo before and I just can't stand people. That's why I choose to work from home.

That is why I'm starting to look for other ways to earn because I feel like I can't stand this management anymore.

It was Karla's fault too that she lie-low... But yes, it was too unprofessional to make things just to kick her out.
