The Letters I Never Sent "To My First Love" Dear you, I don't know if you will ever read this. Maybe you have forgotten me by now, or you still remember the girl who used to laugh too loudly at your silly jokes. Either way, this is the letter I never had the courage to give you. Do you remember the rainy afternoon when we shared the umbrella? I kept telling myself that it was just a coincidence-that you stood too close because the umbrella was too small. But in my heart, it felt like the world had finally mad space for us to fit. I wanted to tell you then, in that moment, that you were the first person who made ordinary feel like a magic. The bus ride to school, the walk back home, even the silence in between- it all felt alive when you were there. But I didn't say it. I told myself that we were too young, that first love never last. So, I buried my love in smiles and goodbyes, and let the time take us away. Now, years later I wonder what might have happened if I just said, "I like you." Would you have laughed? Would we have tried? Or it would have ended just the same? I guess I'll never know. But if love is all about leaving footprints on someone's soul, then you were my first mark. And I'll carry it quietly, always. Yours always If this letter touched you, imagine the next one. Stay tuned. "The Letters I Never Sent" is a collection of words which never reached their destination. Here, each chapter is letter-style short story.
