I don't know if you have an elderberry plant in your country. I make elderberry syrup every year. It is made without preservatives. If anyone is interested, I will describe my recipe. Ingredients 30 elderflowers 2 pcs lemon 2 l of water 500 ml of water for syrup 500 g sugar 10 g of citric acid I clean the elderflowers and put them in a large bowl. I slice the lemon into a hoop and mix it with the elderflower flowers. Then I pour the flowers with lukewarm water You need to pour enough water on it to completely cover the flowers. We soak the flowers covered for at least one night. But it can be for several days, then the aroma will be more intense. The next day I filter the soaked elderberry juice. I make syrup from 500 ml of water and 500 g of sugar. When the syrup cools, I mix it with the elderberry. And finally, I add the citric acid. I fill it into tightly closed bottles. In summer, a divine refreshing drink in the great heat. The photos were taken last year. Now we still have to wait for the flowers to fully open. #myphoto #originalcontent
