The legend behind the doge meme - Kabosu Kabosu (かぼす) is a female Shiba Inu featured in the original doge meme. She was adopted from animal shelter in 2008 by a Japanese kindergarten teacher. The meme is based on a 2010 photograph posted on her blog, and became popular in late 2013.
