Finally managed to transfer out all the funds out of Trust Wallet, thanks to this great community we have here and their clues how to resolve the issue ! Turns out that I was able to transfer out all the funds by performing small transactions rather than being stubborn and attempting to transfer all of them in one go. As suggested I could've used a backup plan of importing the TrustWallet seeds into a Electron Cash wallet and transferring it from there, but since I found out pushing small transactions have worked I've spent some time and just transferred it all out.
