As we are really sensitive in this community to the fees, more are starting to ask why Smart BCH fees are so high, for example $0.10 - $0.15 for smart contract operations like swapping & providing liquidity or just over $0.01 for a simple BCH transfer. The reason the fees are currently as high is due to a misfortunate bug that the Smart BCH team has introduced in the first go-live release of the code leading to an incorrect lower limit of the gas price which is currently hardcoded to 1.05 GWEI. As this is a mistake there will be a correction in the next release which is expected to be released & go live as a hardfork in about 2 months and should effectively lower the gas price limit by 10x (to 0.1 GWEI) which should get us closer to fees we are used on BCH today.
