I have been fascinated by an arbitrage bot on Smart BCH after watching it earn about 7 BCH in half a day back two weeks ago and have been following its transactions almost daily ever since. Turns out the bot is no longer pulling off such an amazing gains even though the arbitrage opportunities on Smart BCH remain very high and appears to be still very effective in terms of identifying/sniping those opportunities. What caught my eye is that the arb transactions the bot is performing have went parabolic in terms of failed transactions and the reason I believe is be due to others frontrunning it by chance. In one of the latest blocks there appears to be 10 identical transactions in terms of payload (which contains the instructions to the arbitrage smart contract of the strategy, such as buy EBEN on mistswap and then sell EBEN on benswap) where clearly only one of them succeeds and other 9 fail due to revert. Looks to me that others found a way to re-create the arbitrage smart contract and snipe the incoming transactions of the original arbitrager before they're included in the block and perform the same transactions (with the same payload but towards their re-created smart contract) targeting the same block, attempting to front run by chance as unlike other EVMs Smart BCH does not order the transactions in block by gas price and instead the transactions are pseudo-randomly shuffled. #BitcoinCash
