Do you know the name of this fruit? We call it Ber in Urdu/Hindi and it is a sweet-sour fruit that grows on a thorny tree and according to Wikipedia, it is called Indian jujube, Indian plum, and Chinee apple. It is mostly found in farmlands and kids eat it as it gives out a very sour flavor. I remember eating a lot of these when I was a young kid. There used to be a lady who used to sell these in front of our school and we would fill our pockets with these Ber fruits so that we could eat them in class. It used to be fun sneaking on into our mouths while the teacher would be busy teaching us. And we would get caught because when you dispose of the seeds somewhere in the classroom they would have this distinct smell. Ah! the fun days! What do you call these tiny little packages of sweetness and sourness? #OpenWriting
