According to Sherpa Tenzing's book 'Man of Everest', the name Kanchenjunga means 'Pancharatna of Ice'. It is named after the five peaks of Kanchenjunga. The height of each of the five peaks is above 8,450 meters. The two peaks are located in Nepal and the other three are located in the border areas of North Sikkim and Nepal in India. The unearthly beauty of this mountain is difficult to express in words.

There will be no difficulty in eating. If you sit on the bank of a river flowing by the side of the tea garden and look at Kanchenjunga for a while, you will see a lot of birds flying over your head, which are not usually seen.

This is how you will get acquainted with many unfamiliar birds. None of these birds could be restrained by that barbed wire or border, just as the beauty of Kanchenjunga could not be restrained.
