Today dinner, I revisit SRK Borneo noodle house to try out another dish. This restaurant specializes in Sarawak dishes, highly recommend you visit it if you ever pass by Desa Setapak.
This time I order their Sarawak Laksa which is sold at RM12.90 per bowl.
So what is the difference between a common laksa and a Sarawak laksa?
Sarawak laksa uniqueness lies in the spices mixes that are not found in laksa dishes in other states. In addition to those spices, the basic ingredients of Sarawak Laksa are rice vermicelli, chicken, fried tofu, omelette, bean sprouts, black mushrooms, shrimp, boiled eggs, and musk. The broth is made from a mixture of sambal belacan, coconut milk, tamarind juice, garlic, galangal and lemongrass
Their Sarawak is missing some ingredients like black mushrooms, boiled, and musk, but overall it tastes like how a Sarawak laksa should taste.
