The commemorative coins in conjunction with the 200th anniversary of the Malaysian Police were launched by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin on March 26, 2007. Three coins were issued with RM1 nordic gold, RM10 silver proof, and also RM100 gold proof.
This coin-front design features a handshake symbol to illustrate the close collaboration between the police force and the masses. The official logo of the 200th Birthday of the Royal Malaysia Police is shown on the top of the handshake symbol.
The rear design features the official symbol of the Royal Malaysian Police. The word "BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA" appears on the top of the coin, while the face value of the coin is on the bottom of the coin. A star is a picture on the left and right of the coin face value.
These coins are Ismail Ibrahim's design, Master Designer Royal Mint of Malaysia.
