After my dinner at the Para Thai, I was looking for dessert. While I was looking at the Genki Sushi menu, I found something interesting and decided to go into the restaurant. This Genki Sushi is located at the KLCC Suria Mall level 3 at the food court if you ever want to visit. This is a chain of conveyor belt sushi restaurants, however, instead of using the normal conveyor belt, they use trains to transport your food.

The thing that caught my attention is Mizu Manju with red bean paste which is priced at RM6.42. I decided to order one to try it since I never eat it before.

Based on what I read, Manju is different from Mochi, Dango, Daifuku.

Mochi is a plain white glutinous rice cake.

Dango usually refers to a confection consisting of dumplings made from cereal flour, but it is also made from meat or other materials.

Daifuku are small, round glutinous rice cakes with a sweet Azuki red bean paste filling.

Unlike Mochi, Dango, and Daifuku, the main ingredient of Manju isn’t rice. Actually, Manju is a traditional Japanese steamed bun made from wheat flour and filled with Anko-sweetened Azuki red bean paste.

After I placed my order and waited a few minutes, my Mizu Manju with red bean paste arrived on a train. It also comes with a plate of Aburi Garlic Butter for free.
