He did not come !!

Today for me is Sunday, July 26, 2020. All week it was announced that a hurricane named Gonzalo would visit us. Actually, I did not panic because on previous occasions, when terrible threats from nature were announced, they never came.

The situation arose like this. The hurricane was approaching the coasts of the Caribbean and then entering our coasts it would destroy part of what it would find in its path. ..I have the precious luck of living very close to the beach. The breeze in the afternoons and nights reminds us how close we have it. Right behind some mountains, you can see the Caribbean coast.

Alert messages were sent to buy candles in the event of power outages. Messages to have safe drinking water, in case of major accidents and many more messages.

Messages to buy candles? What more candles are we going to buy? if the candles are part of our usual purchases !!. What water are we going to reserve? ... if there is no water in the pipes more often. Up to 5 days without water in the pipes. Crazy messages! ... to make people more crazy than we already are.

The hurricane did not come. Apparently it became a tropical storm when it collided with our islands, in front of the Caribbean Sea. Thank God!!. And for storms, call Venezuela, whose winter became a receptacle for frequent tropical storms a few years ago.

God knows what he does!. We are helpless in the face of this pandemic. Helpless in the face of the economic situation of our country. Defenseless against the forces of nature.

For those of us who are believers, we can only put ourselves in God's hands.

It is a very good thing he didn't come! Natural disasters are hard to prepare for. My country gets flooded during the monsoon season, usually end of the year. The only things that they can prepare for, is establishing a good monitoring and warning system, prepare enough shelters and food for the people. But how hard a disaster hits, we can never foretell.

We all are helpless if it comes to the forces of nature. Isn't that a natural thing? I believe we all should have a kit for case in an emergency too. I have candles (too many times without power), food (not too much yet but usually good for some weeks but the rain and winter didn't start yet, I will do without firewood next winter coming up (you can not buy what you cannot afford) and I hope there will be no cold winter this year because I am not over the one of two years ago yet.

I heard a storm will come (or should?) and the temperature will drop with 20°C. Most likely it is true but I hope if so it's just that.

I am happy it turned out to be what we call "a storm in a glass of water".

In some countries they are prepared for emergencies against the forces of nature. How to prepare disaster areas with materials and trained people to care for the injured. They prepare medicines, human personnel, what is called logistics. But here in my country the authorities are only preparing to say who is to blame for the disaster that occurs.

The "EMPIRE" is almost always to blame for everything.

Currently the fault of the covid, is Brazil and Colombia.

And that's how we live here, in the good of God with nature and whatever comes along.

The coronavirus is a great excuse worldwide. Why Brazil and Colombia?

Brazil and Colombia are our borders. It is guarded by the military from side to side. But the mafias are the ones that govern the borders and people pass through there giving the money they ask for. and since they do not know that they are infected. These people leave the viruses on their way home. So the government says that these countries are guilty for not controlling the borders.

And we? How do we control our border?

That is a good question. I never see people at the Dutch borders. There are at the German borders or to Austria and Belgium. It means we let them do our job.

In our borders there are many military personnel but everything is up to whoever gives more to enter or leave.

The situation that we live in Venezuela is sad to wait for a Hurricane that will destroy the country, thank God it did not come, what an irony of the national government, they alert the population to take forecasts regarding energy, water and other services, which there is not, because they do not supply them, we suffer from everything here, even gasoline, the government must find a way to solve the electricity cuts, improve what is wrong in the Gury dam, it must supply the population with water , since we are in a pandemic and like they forget.

They are not going to improve anything here. Their intention is to maintain power, and the more oppressed they have us, the better it is for them.
