A land turtle.

We have a new pet at home. Since our turtle disappeared, the same lady who gave us Tronkín now gave this other one to my son.

This one different, this specimen has a different shell, this little girl eats a lot more than Treetrunks. I think it's older than her.

She eats much more greedily. She is gluttonous, and again this is a female turtle, you can tell by the shape of its shell; The female has it flat and the male has it concave.

These turtles are very common pets of Venezuelan homes. Most people usually have pairs of turtles and reproduce them for food.

During easter, "home-made" turtles are sacrificed to make a traditional dish called "cuajao". Where eggs, dressings, and the meat of the turtle are placed.

I'm glad to know that our pet will not have such an end. If it doesn't escape into the garden again as the previous one did, this turtle will be able to remain in our home, to live there for as long as it wants.

At the moment my son has already made this turtle a house out of a cardboard box, so that she has somewhere to sleep safe at night, until she gets used to your new home.

Awwww... New turtle :) So happy for you and your son! He looks like Tronkin. Hopefully he attracts Tronkin to come back.

It is so sad that turtles are eaten. But the fact is, many animals are eaten in different parts of the world, like the cute guinea pigs, rabbits, recently I saw people eat porcupine too.

Yes, my son and I are very happy for this new member of the family, hehe.

My friend, I tell you that in the field, people there eat everything that moves. When they are hunting and something moves, they shoot it and then they go and collect their prey. Whatever they eat! Snakes, porcupines, foxes, etc.

Hehe cute Trumkom :) Does the name have a special meaning? Tronkin and Trumkom?

Oh yes. I have heard of a saying that some people will eat anything with the back facing the sun.

yes, HAHAHA. I think he made a combination of the previous mascot and took letters from the name of a president, hee hee.

And you can't imagine the seasoning they give to those animals. When you eat any meat in the field, everything is very tasty and then you know what animal you ate. I have already eaten so many things, except turtle.

Yes, it is a very appreciated gift for my son. He is very happy with his little turtle. He named him Trumkom or something like that.

I don't like eating them and I never have. But in my country the "cuajao de morrocoy" is part of a typical meal.

It is like raising chickens and pigs and then killing and eating them. But I don't eat turtles. Never, never, never !!

Trumkommm!!! Feels like that could be a game character name. Sounds too cute ❤

I can't imagine earing turtle meat ;;-;; I'd feel too bad for them and I'm not all too exotic loving either. Bo to eating turtles, they might be the next creatures to go extinct

I think that man is an allegory of the name of a president with one less consonant.

These turtles are raised by many Venezuelan families, and if they have not become extinct since colonial times, which is the date of the custom of eating morrocoy at Easter ... no, I do not think they will become extinct in Venezuela.

I'm not familiar with the leaders you guys have but the name is still fitting UwU

Ahh so it's like a common thing there already to have turyles. That's nice to know. At least if an extinction does happen, there will still be a plave to find turtles

If the turtle is called Trum kim and the president is called Trump Donald.

That can be real. Here in town houses you can see a pet turtle. But you go to the field and you see a hatchery of them. The largest to follow the reproduction. Those that they reserve to be eaten at Easter. and the tiny turtles that take time to continue growing.

Ahh so it's his way of playful making a pet out of trump

Never seen a hatchery of turtles before but it seems like turtles will continue to strive there as long as the traditions are kept afloat

It's more than that, he likes that name, that's why he named it tromkim.

Yes, this tradition passes from generation to generation so there will be turtles for a while in those regions of the plain.
