Hello friends, today I will share with a plant that is a product in my area, its name is peanuts. Peanut cultivation is carried out in rice fields or fields, in intercropping or crop rotation systems. As a food ingredient, peanut seeds have many benefits for human food, animal feed, cooking oil ingredients and protein content that is beneficial for health. The increasing demand for peanut ingredients requires a solution to make peanut cultivation, which can produce more crop production than before. Moreover, various obstacles ranging from low seed quality, natural factors of drought and less than optimal maintenance. Planting Method In fertile soil, peanut seeds are planted with a spacing of (40 x 15) cm or (30 x 20) cm. Meanwhile, on less fertile soils, it can be planted more tightly, namely with a spacing of (40 x 10) cm, or (20 x 20) cm. The planting hole is 3 cm deep by ditugal. Each hole is filled with 1-2 peanuts, then covered with fine soil. Maintenance 1. Watering Peanuts are plants that require more water than other types of beans. A moist environment is required from the time of planting until two weeks before harvest. Especially during the germination, flowering and pod filling phases. If there is no rain, irrigation water is highly recommended. 2. Weeding Cleaning of nuisance plants should be done regularly, because peanut plants are very sensitive to competition. Types of weeds and grass should be cleaned. In addition, along with weeding, the soil is loosened between the rows of plants. The purpose of loosening the soil is so that the fruit will easily enter the soil. 3. Fertilization This stage is the most important, so that peanut cultivation can produce abundant production. Fertilization plays an important role, because fertilizer contains nutrients that can increase soil fertility and improve plant nutrition. For peanuts, fertilizers that are widely used are Nitrogen (N), Phosphate (P) and Potassium (K) fertilizers.
