Bitcoin Cash zero-confirmation protocol 0-conf. People who need coffee at their local shop can transact with zero confirmations, and the shop owner can get paid. It is a win-win. The shop owner can feel secure because his small transaction will get confirmed in the next block, and since it is a value of $10 or less, he can rest assured that he will receive the funds later on once the network confirms. Zero confirmation means that the transaction is suitable to receive because the chance of a double spend is meager since, on BCH, the first broadcast is the one that the network will pick up; all others will be considered a double-spend attend not be added in the next block. For this, the seller only needs to have his wallet or node well connected so that the transaction he receives is marked as the first, and you only need a well-connected node for this to work or a wallet like bitcoin.com. Zero confirmation work best for small transactions but large transactions, you are always safe if you wait for at least one confirmation, with replace by fee a buyer can return the funds to his wallet after receiving the product or service, and it needs it because BTC tx fees are going higher and higher. In BCH, zero-confirmation works just like Bitcoin did before 2015. It is a better solution to Lightning Network instant transactions, not only because it is as fast as broadcasting the transaction across all nodes but because it is cheaper at current BCH prices; Lightning Network routing fees are also going up as on-chain fees go why because LN node operators need to get pay for their liquidity stock on LN channels. Microtransactions are not solved on-chain or by zero conf, but LN in BCH will mean you can send one satoshi across, but on-chain transactions are as fast as xrp and lightning network, or any other altcoin. Zero confirmations are something that used to work on Bitcoin just before Blockstream took over the BTC project and hijacked it, now everything is just moving around second layer solutions for the currency aspects at least within Core protocol, Bitcoin Cash, on the other hand, has very cheap transitions and it doesn't need a high fee thanks to more giant blocks, and 0-conf only makes sense if your transaction is just for a small value transaction. And with EVM sidechains, more users will come to the BCH network not just as a currency but more as a store of value and asset value, thanks to DeFi. I have used the Coinflex bridge, and it seems they are using only one confirmation to transport your coins to the sidechain, same as hop.cash. Still, regular people that don't know either other and their transaction has a value of less than $5 could take advantage of zero confirmations. When I withdraw from noise or read cash to my wallet, I consider that transaction final even with no confirmation, and I send my funds away to wherever they need to go. It helps to point out that zero confirmations work well with Bitcoin Cash. Now we have unlimited transactions with zero confirmations meaning that only the final recipient needs to wait for confirmations if you have to pay multiple inputs to multiple users.
