According to the Dictionary, compassion is a "sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others." A feeling of doing something and utilizing it to emancipate themselves from the feeling that weighs them down.
More than just giving empathy, compassion makes us move by making ourselves feel them and eventually think of things to make them realize everything's gonna be alright.
We are just humans. There are times we act careless or see life in a miserable state only one knows how cruel it was. In such times, having the right people around us will certainly help to make things alright.
I once read an article saying that compassion attests to humanity and serves as a focal point to show our innate goodness. From the books to teachings, may it be religious or philosophical, compassion says one thing — to involve ourselves.
To make a change, one should show compassion, an act that starts from within.
Why are there some who extend themselves for those in need?
If you were that someone who has that big heart to help, seeing people in a different light no matter what situation you are in, and seeking to make them feel good then you are showing compassion.
In all aspects, compassion is the core of humanity, utilizing empathy, voluntarism, and reverence giving what you have to offer for the ones in need. Without compassion, this world will be a home full of selfishness — there will be no hints of equality nor equity among us, goodness will never prevail.
Compassion, in its greatest sense, makes us move. Beyond the feeling of making someone else in their shoe, compassion makes us see that life is better by giving them an opportunity to start and change what had been hampering them.
Compassion makes us more humane, relating and making this world a better place.
Compassion is humanity's greatest asset, an intangible part of us. It makes us feel and above all, to catalyst change.
"No man is an island." We need others to make us realize that there is someone who can and who is willing to listen. With compassion, it lets us show how humanity really was — expressing collective trust and love.
For me, compassion is something that no one can take from us. This attitude, rather than an emotion, makes us who we are; it completes humanity and it's the reason why we have been like this. It connects us, creating a remarkable memory about us and a moment for others.
