Well after writing the above I realized that the Electron Cash wallet I had just downloaded was VERY different from the one you have a link to.... So, sorry. Leaving this the way it is just in case someone else has same experience lol.

Sorry for the bad experience. It does involve several pieces and each has its own requirements. Regarding Electron Cash, you would get it exclusively from electroncash.org. After installing it, the first thing that happens when opening it is to create a new wallet. If that is difficult, there is a telegram group for it where you might get help from other volunteers: https://t.me/electroncashwallet . After you have a wallet setup, you would need some BCH in it. There are many ways to get BCH but the most common ways are to work for it or buy it from an exchange. Basically all crypto exchanges support BCH.
