This beautiful Phalaenopsis orchid decided to bloom for me yet again. It has a funny story… When I was living in Netherlands, one day I went to a local supermarket and saw many beautiful orchids. I wanted to pick one for my dad, as I was planning to go to Poland in a few days. This one really stood out, but as I inspected the roots, I saw that some of them were damaged by the staked pushed in without much care. I put it back on the shelf and picked another beautifully patterned orchid for my dad. Guess what? The following day my partners mum turned up at our doorstep with 2 orchids… one of them was the one that I wanted for my dad, but decided against it 😅 Well, since it was for me, I didn’t care much for the damaged roots, but I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful pattern. 4 or 5 years later (I can’t remember exactly) it is still alive, with super healthy big leaves and blooms for me every year without a fail, while the one I bought for my dad is long gone… Funny how things turn out in the end 🧐
