Who remembers when I posted a bud of this dahlia and asked what colour it would be? The post is here btw https://noise.cash/post/v9p9kwqsw9qg Some of you guessed it right - it’s red. A deep, deep red to be exact. I love how full the flower is on this one. I purchased it at one of the orchid society meetings when they were still happening. At the beginning of the season these beauties put a great fight with slugs and snails they just love dahlias young and fresh growth and whatever comes up from the tubers is immediately eaten by them. I helped the dahlias to emerge by spreading some organic slug pallets around the base and finally I have some flowers. Misty morning made for a beautiful picture of tiny droplets too.
