Amazing world of NFT’s is booming on SmartBCH
Wednesday, 19th of January 2022
Would you believe I started to write this in December? I have way too many started and not finished drafts. I keep saying to myself that I will write tomorrow and before I know it 2 weeks are gone since I last posted here!
What makes me so busy? The answer is in the title of course.
One of my life long dreams has always been to earn with what I love doing. Thanks to read.cash, noise.cash, Bitcoin Cash and especially SmartBCH this dream has come true for me.
I am sure many of you have read my December summary and if you had doubts that earning real money in the virtual world is possible, reading it sure showed you that all is possible. Today I wanna talk about one of the super fun part of SmartBCH that is currently still in its infancy, yet already extremely profitable.
My NFT journey
NFT or a Non Fungible Token is a piece of digital art that you can own, that is always present in Blockchain. To be honest I really couldn’t understand all this in the beginning. People were talking about NFT’s and minting and all this went right over my head. One day I asked in our #Club1BCH Telegram what is this all about and I received a link as an answer and was told to go and ‘mint’ some punks.
So off I go to check this weird looking website. I looked at the white paper and wasn’t sure whether it’s serious or a joke, but since minting of 1 punk was only 0.01 BCH, I decided to click that mint button and I minted my first ever NFTs.
I looked and looked and couldn’t see the appeal of them, but since they didn’t cost all that much, I left them in my wallet for ‘better times’.
Of course by now most of you know that ‘better times’ mean that everyone who minted punks and still have them have already 60x their initial investment. At peak, the floor price for punk was 0.69 BCH. I’m not sure about you guys, but no other smartBCH token have made me this much profit in such a short time.
With this amazing profit in mind as well as the use case which became apparent couple mounts after the minting started I decided to give those funky arts a bit more time to explore.
The result? I became an NFT hoarder! By now I collected over 250 SmartBCH NFT’s spread across my Metamask wallets.
Fatcat NFTs
Next project after LawPunks that I found was FatCat NFT’s. I already wrote about them in this article, so today only a few pictures from the newest mint.
I have been checking the website regularly to see how the minting goes and I mint a few more whenever I have some spare BCH in my wallet. At the time of writing this article there have been only 1463 out of 7500 minted, so there is still time to mint some. Exciting news I picked up from reading their Telegram group are that the rarity tool has been released as well as staking of NFT will be available within the next 2 weeks. With this in mind I am sure the remaining 6k fatcat NFTs will mint much faster. Right now you can still mint them at 0.01 BCH.
Cattos NFTs
Another great project came in a pixelated art form with the name Cattos. Personally I don’t like this art so much, but since the initial minting price of them was only 0.0082 BCH it was another no brainer for me. Within a few weeks I minted around 50 of these, with the rarest one being this crying guy with grey tea. Majority of these come with either red or solana tea, so anything else is rare.
This mint has been open for quite a few weeks as well, although with recent news of staking starting at the end on January, minting has been going faster these days, with only just above 1500 out of 10 000 left for minting. Bear in mind that half way through the minting, the price per mint increased from 0.0082 to 0.013 BCH, which is still a reasonable price knowing the use case of these.
Tropical NFTs
On New Year’s Eve the madness of 24h AMA’s started in Tropical Finance. With that came NFT auctions became a norm. TF team took a different approach with their NFT collection. First they distributed Tropical Monsters to presale investors. Being part of the team has some perks, as we get one NFT from each new collection.
Next one up was Tropical Gulls. A majority of these went to early TF promoters, who invited people to the Telegram channel. Some went for early investors and the remainder has been auctioned on oasis.cash for the floor price of 0.3BCH.
I managed to collect 3 gulls so far:
The beauty of gulls as well as Daiqui Dudes is that the floor price of each collection serves as a base for calculating APRs when Tropical Marketplace and staking starts. At this point you will be able to decided whether you want to stake your NFT for APR or for another NFT of the same kind. I try to have a couple of each to be able to do both.
Daiqui Dudes (picture above) come in many types:
Army Men in 3 base colours at the floor price of 1 BCH,
Patrick’s with the value of 1.5 BCH,
Apes at 1.75 BCH,
Skeletons for 2.5 BCH
Mummies for 3 BCH
Vampires 4.5 BCH
Tropical Irons 5.5 BCH
Demons 6.6 BCH
BCH Devils with BCH background - staking value of 8.5 BCH.
If you keep an eye in Oasis auction bot, you can sometimes find any of the above at the price lower than the floor, since some people who received them for free probably don’t know their real value. At one such time I managed to get this cute gull for 2/3 of the floor price:
The picture that you can see as a lead for this article is from brand new Tropical collection. These will be distributed to new Daiquiri investors and stakers, although full details of this promotion has not been revealed yet. These scary, yet amazing cats will not have a staking value, but were created to reward people who believe in Tropical team.
Thrones NFTs
I must admit, Queens really hit the spot for me. The art in this collection is simply beautiful and I couldn’t help but fall in love from the first sight. I could write on an on about these, but since this article is becoming too long already, I will leave these for another article.
Let me just flex of of the Queens that I sold for 1.11 BCH:
Isn’t she simply amazing? I seriously think most of them are. There are just a few that I’m not too keep on, due to the colours that aren’t my favourite, but yeah… let’s talk about it in another article.
Until next time 💙
...and you will also help the author collect more tips.
I am new to smartbch and I still don't know how to own nft. Maybe I should research more about it as I also wanted to have my own nft. So I will understand about minting
