In my experience, at the end, pay more who has more. If your couple has a small salary and you are earning more, the double or triple... at the end you pay more. Pay more, It's not bad thing... simply you have to share for living both happy... 😃
Why should one have to pay more because they earn more? Doesn't add up to me.

there's no any written rule, if you have more you spend more, if you have less you spend less. You spend as much as you have. But it's my experience... money is nothing when you are sharing with anybody who you feel alright...
