Young or old alike, people usually experience being stressed out. The words "I'm stressed" have been used by a lot of people as an expression.
We have various reasons why we are stressed out. It may be due to family problems, loosing a job, health issues, emotional disorder or even the death of a loved one. Know the things or situations that stresses you out. When you know the reason of your stress it is possible for you to prepare for it and make some adjustment. When we are tensed, usually we are unable to think well so before you even face a stressful situation think of how you will react better when you are already in that situation.
Make your expectations realistic. We are usually stressed out if our expectations are not reached specially if it's too high. So, don't be a perfectionist. Be realistic.
Talk to others. It feels better when you talk your problems out with someone. This one is very effective to me everytime I'm stressed out, I talk about it with my friends.
Exercise and eat healthy foods. Taking care of your body decreases the chance of being stressed out so have a balanced diet and exercise regularly. A simple jog or brisk walking will also help release tension and stress. Personally, eating sweets like chocolates or ice cream helps me a lot whenever I feel stressed.
