Critical Phase in Life I faced IV (The End of the Chapter) Two days left before I am finished with my treatment, my doctor told me to repeat my x-ray test so he could see if my pneumonia was cleared, he also suggested me to get myself tested for***tuberculosis***. He said, mostly of pneumonia patients especially severe ones get*****tuberculosis*****in the long run. He then prescribed me*Moriamin Forte*as my vitamins while recovering. Two days later, I finished my treatment. The staffs were very happy seeing me in good color. I am not pale anymore and no more short breaths. However, my heart rate wasn't normal yet. *"Your heart rate is still rapid, because you have this."* my doctor said while pointing his fingers on the result of my 2D echo test. *"What's that doctor?"* *"You have****mild mitral regurgitation."***

`My 2D echo test result.` Before I started talking again, he went out of his office to check a patient on the rooms, and after that, I forgot to ask him what's mild mitral regurgitation. Fast forward.. **My Sputum test for the TB came out.** And praise the Lord! **MTB NOT DETECTED!**

However my X-ray results came too, thankfully, pneumonia was cleared but my pleural effusion was still there. *I didn't have the copy of my x-ray result, probably I gave the original copy to my doctor.* With a bit of a happiness and a little nervousness because I am not yet cleared with the pleurisy, I went back to my doctor to show my results. He was happy to see my results. However he told me my water in the lungs was still there. He then told me some patients with this case undergoes draining it and mostly done in the hospital. Yet, my family strongly suggested not to undergo any operations because we don't have enough money. Since I am broke, and they're the ones helping me financially, I must agree with them and I told my doctor about it. He then prescribed me***diuretics (Furosemide)***, 1/4 tab to be taken every other day for a month.

I took the***diuretics***as he directed, I felt better, to be honest. My fears were somehow gone, as one of my aunts who was once a nurse in Dubai told me that pleural effusion sometimes took time to be cleared after pneumonia. *To be honest, I should have more appointments with my doctor, but as my family saw me getting better. They told me that I am already healed and no need to be checked.* Again, because they're the ones who's supporting me financially, I followed them. However, after a few months, I suffered from a coughed again. I went back for a check-up. ***"I was waiting for you, where have you been?"*** my doctor excitedly told me as he saw me entered the clinic. I told him everything, and he told me he really pitied me and my situation. He just checked my breathing too and he didn't heard anything wrong. ***"Looks like the diuretics worked too. Hopefully, it worked."*** He prescribed me medicines since my cough was not that severe just like what I had before. Then he saw my heart rate again and my weight. Gladly, I gained 3 kilos but still underweight. But small gains were already better than loss, right? He then told me that my heart rate was not normal because I have this condition called****Mild mitral regurgitation****. and finally I got the answers from him on that day. ***"What's my condition, doc? Is it dangerous?"*** ***"It's okay, however there's a  a small amount of blood leaks backward through the mitral valve of your heart everytime it beats."*** Symptoms of Mild Mitral Regurgitation: Coughing, exhaustion, lightheadedness, increased urination at night, rapid breathing or palpitations. *And to be honest, I often feel these symptoms except from increased urination at night and lighthe*adedness. He then told me to limit or no salt intake and reminded me to add fruits and vegetables on my diet. Also, I need 1 glass of milk everyday for my weight too. ... And that was the last time I went to that clinic. And until today I don't have the opportunity to go back, and I don't want to if it's because of my severe health condition again. I couldn't forget that phase of my life where I almost lose my hopes. As of now, I am still getting palpitations and sometimes shortness of breath but not too long, especially when doing chores that requires more strength and energy, and whenever I get stress or angry. I also limit my caffeine. **Unfortunately, I don't know, I guess, the antibiotics and the diuretics or my deteriorated immune system left me side effects that changed my whole life.** My hair became thinner, I once had a thick hair, now I almost loss my 50% of my hair from hair loss and this mysterious happening on my scalp (severe dandruff sometimes red and scaly). My skin often gets allergic reactions too, I get red and scaly dandruff like on my face whenever it's cold or the weather is too dry and hot. By these symptoms, I think I am suffering from an autoimmune disease, called***seborrheic dermatitis***(based on my research) I didn't have myself checked yet, my family didn't know about it too. I don't want to give them problems anymore. I'm just getting infos from google and groups with the same symptoms as I have. ***Somehow it's manageable, but to be honest, I lose my confidence.*** But I don't want to stress myself out. As of now, I am still thin, with thin dry hair too. I badly wanted to get my normal weight again, but I should not be stressed so I am I'm focusing on accepting whatever I am facing today, and I have to embrace myself, my new self. I know everything happens for a reason, and what I've been through was a wakeup call to me that health is wealth. I want to live a normal happy life with my family again, and that's what I am aiming as I was given this another chance to live. As I end this traumatic chapter that I've shared with you, let me thank you for being here with me till the end. 💚 Thank you so much for reading! @eommaZel
