Disciplining your Child Let's talk about disciplining our child/ren. That's always a hot topic for us parents especially nowadays. Most children in this generation are influenced by social medias and other online platforms by the used of technologies such as mobile phone and computers.

Many parents focused on disciplining their kids on what they've known for a long time, a way of discipline passed to them generation to generation.

Like during our childhood days, We've been through physical punishment. When my brother and I did something wrong or broke something inside our house, mom hits our bottom with a belt or a slipper. That hurts! 😭

The main goal of discpilining is a child must follow the rules set by the parents and must give respect to others. But we can do it without hitting, spanking, slapping or yelling our child. At the first place, we parents, must be the one who knows more our child/ren. Their misbehaviour is their only way of communicating an unmeet need. We should learn how to emphatize with them.

We wanted our child to respect us, we should give them respect too. We should set boundaries, provide conditions in which our children can realize their own potentials. We should not spoil them. Giving them all they ask for and to do everything they want is not life should be, life is tough, pretty tough and getting tougher as they grow.

We should never punish them for their feelings we must remember that the worse they feel the worse they behave. Try to validate and appreciate their good efforts may it be little or big. We must express our confidence with their abilities.

If we really want to raise our children successfully we must combine love with discipline. Always remember that kids learn by watching adults, particularly us parents. We should be the role models for them. To end this article let me share to you this lovely quote said by Angela Schwindt, *"While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about."*
