Left my house at 4.30am this morning to witness this send-off ceremony of the Nine Emperor Gods, the final ritual of the nine-day Nine Emperor Gods festival. This is an annual religious observation for those of the Taoist faith.

I know, I know, I've been missing from cyberspace for a long time. From the end of Aug until at least the 2nd week of Sept, I was so ill, I couldn't go anywhere. In fact, my entire family was ill, including my dog who had to visit the vet TWICE for different ailments. If I remember correctly, there used to be a filter where we can choose which language to appear on our feed. I can't find it now and my feed is filled with Tagalog posts. Nothing against our Filipino friends but all the posts in a language that I can't read and putting effort to search for English posts are keeping me away from the platform. Teach me...

Went out for lunch today after being bugged by my dad because we didn't go out as a family for the longest time. We were all ill from the end of August until mid-September. Duh!! Even so, just went somewhere nearby as the sky was threatening to pour and I was worried Lucky Dogter will stay out in the rain. Can't risk her getting sick for the third time!

It's a three-day weekend over here. I'm just hanging out at home as I need to keep an eye on my mom and dog, as my dad and bro are on the road. This photo was our family lunch yesterday at a nearby food court. Didn't calculate exactly but the bill came up to approx. US$10. Yeah, doesn't sound like a lot, but this is because the local currency has dropped a lot!

I attended the launch of a Halloween event at a theme park last evening. This was the scene that greeted all visitors because this is the entrance. Many people took photos with the props, which is common here but for a Halloween theme, can't they see that this is a coffin? Yet, many stood inside the "big box" and happily posed for photos and videos. All the fault of social media, causing people to blindly share every movement.

I mentioned the other day that I'm learning how to use CapCut to edit short videos for TikTok. Well, there's no denying that short-form videos are the in thing these days. Happy Halloween! Phew... what a weekend it had been. Busy running around, and not in the house much. When I was in though, I just spent time at my desk dealing with the content. This is life for me. Just need to get back into traveling.

Happy Halloween! Recently, I've been contemplating if I should get a mobile phone specifically for its camera, rather than a dedicated camera. I am tired from carrying the camera weight around, yet at the same time, am concerned that a mobile camera, although much improved by now, cannot cope under certain conditions that I may have to shoot in. Any feedback and recommendations for either mobile or camera?
