Eid-al-Adha appeared in the second year of Hijra: Worship of sacrifice It begins between Abraham and his son. Hz. While Ibrahim was sleeping in his house one day, he dreamed that he sacrificed his son Ismail. Upon this dream, he went to Mecca and saw his son Ismail with his mother. He told his son to buy a rope and a knife, not mentioning his dream. Afterwards, he explained that they would collect wood from the valley for his household. While the father and son were walking towards the valley, the devil was disguised as Hz. He appeared before Abraham and tried to tempt him so that he would not fulfill this order of Allah. But Hz. Ibrahim did not believe in this game. Then the father said to his son: “I was sacrificing you for Allah in my dream.” He explained his dream. His son said to this situation, “Daddy, do what you are commanded, daddy! When you want to sacrifice me, tie me tight with a rope so that if something hits you against me, my reward will not decrease. Besides, when you lie down to strangle me, lie face down and bring my forehead to the ground. Because when you look at my face, your heart becomes thinner and I fear that this situation may prevent you from doing what Allah has commanded you!” he replied. Hz. When Abraham was going to sacrifice his son, God said, "O Abraham! You have been faithful to your dream, here is the sacrificial sacrifice that you will slaughter for your son, strangle him!” has been ordered. Here, the worship of sacrifice is protected with this religious value until today.
