The Lord's Army
When we hear about the Lord's army our minds goes to **Ephesians 6:13-17**, were the bible talkes about the Shield of Faith, Helmet of Salvation, Sword of the Spirit.
***( These are important facts and also our primary weapons)***
*****The Army*****
The word Army according to oxford dictionary, its an organized military force equiped for fighting on land. Therefore in any country or nation, we two groups the military and the civilians.
Christians today carry this same mentality to the christain fold, when we hear the Lord's army, we feel its referring to the Pastors, Prayer Warriors, Spritual workers, Intercessors etc. We fail to understand that in the Christian fold, there are no civilians, we all belong to the Lord's army.
*****How does one become enlisted?*****
To become part of the Lord's army, one needs to accept Chirst as Lord & saviour. You are automatically enlisted
*****Why does God need an army?*****
In the world today, we need an army to fight **( going to war ),** to protect, peace keeping, promoting law & order.
*Does God need an army for protection?*
*Does God need an army to fight his battles?*
The answer is NO!!!
God Has an army because he wants to, because He chooses to. In the Christian fold the duties of an army is not just fighting spritual battles or interceding it is to...
**i*****. To preach and spread the gospel. Mark 16:15KJV , Matthew 24:14KJV***
**ii*****. To stand as witness. Matthew 24:14KJV , Luke 24:46-48KJV , Acts 5: 32KJV***
**iii*****. As a means to draw others to Christ. Matthew 5: 14KJV, matthew 5:16KJV***
The work of God is not ment for one person alone, we all have our roles to play.
*****Functions & duties*****
◾️Doing good because of God's grace Titus 3:1-7
Belivers should always remember to summit to authorities, show good example to thoes around us.
*****Qualities Of The Lord's Army*****
◾️Love one another. John 13:35 , 1Corinthians 13:1-3
◾️Obedience to the word John 14:15 , Luke 16:46
◾️Bearing Good fruits Galatians 5:22-25

Hello am new here
Hello, I'm David from Nigeria, am new here. I came across this platform by chance. I was just going through the web and i saw someone commented about this site, so i contacted the person for more details, he gave me his link then boom here i am. Lol. Am a very simple and sometimes shy guy.i love to read books, novels like romance, Paranormal (my favorites), fantasy, mysteries and the rest, i also love writing, i love watching movies, tho i hate books and movies with sad ending. I mean think about it i cant be going through a hard life (reality) and be reading books with sad endings, life is already hard as it is LOL. i love playing games, eating etc I believe i can express my self better in writing than in words.
The funny thing about me being shy and why people find it hard to believe, is cause am a drummer, and a preacher. Weird right? How can someone who has preached and teached in front of people and even played drum in church programs and activities and also in the druma unit be shy? LOL well thats me for you.
I studied Political science but i have a passion for arts & designing. I make graphic designs like logos, flyers and even advert videos with the use of my smart phone, below are some of my designs.
Most people, when they meet me for the first time think I'm rude and arrogant because i usually carry a serious face and keep to my self, But I am probably just trying to hide the fact that am shy or scard. But under those serious looks & quietness am actually someone that disturbs alot, laugh for the most crayz things, do and say funny things and really friendly And a true friend to the very end.
I hardly let people in, but when i do i let you in completely, i dont usually show people my weak sides or my thoughts about certain things if i do that to you it means you hold a special place in my heart ♥
I am blessed to be here in this site because it gives me a opportunity to express myself and to relate to others stories. And I'm really excited to write by my own stories and also share some of my sermons.
I hope you all would enjoy my articles and make new friends from this platform and i pray God would bless and protect you all.
Psalm twenty-three
**PART THREE**
We concluded on my last article that as Christians, spritual growth is a must. After a certain period of time in God's presence,it is expected that we are nolonger babies whose cry **[prayer]** would be answered even when they are not ready/mature for that particular request **[blessing]**
***Hebrews 5:14 KJV***
***But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.***
***Psalm 23:5-6 KJV ➡️ Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. [6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.***
**Psalm 23:5 KJV** ➡️ the enemy is already aware of the blessings God Has in store for us even before we realize it, so they would surely fight to make sure we dont get them. But the good news is this...
◾️Our blessings can never be stopped, no matter how critical the situation maybe or how many are against you. GOD'S plan in your life can never be stopped.
◾️The enemy might succeed in delaying it for awhile bt it would surely come to you because He has given us the anointing to overcome.
◾️No matter how long you felt you have waited God's plan for your life we never change as long as you hold on to him
***Habakkuk 2:3 KJV***
***For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.***
**Psalm 23:6 KJV** ➡️ the key to salvation is to dwell in God's presence. Many Christians today make statements like. My money can be used to serve God, i dont need to be there. This is very wrong.
**#remember.....**
We have been anointed with power and grace to overcome.
***The end.***
Psalm twenty-three
**PART TWO**
In my last article we talked about the Christian journey, how it begins once a man is born again,we also said, we are like babies that needs attention. So answers to our prayers comes easy.
***Psalm 23:3-4 KJV***
***He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. [4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me***.
****Keypoint 🔑....****
**psalm 23:3 KJV**➡️ this is were many get it wrong, most matured Christains pick offence in this, saying why would someone who is not even a month old in the church be having all the blessings & answered prayers while i am yet to get mine & even the new belivers would feel they have earned the blessings of God by being Christians.
But the truth is that we are not qualified to earn Gods blessings...it is by grace.
Once a man is born again, there is restoration of the soul and the blessings of God would manifest not because we deserve it but for Gods name to be praised. For the world to see the difference in your life as a beliver.
**Psalm 23:4 KJV** ➡️ many belivers feel being a child of God marks the end of trials and tribulations or suffering.so once they begin to face problems after giving their life to christ they shout ***" there is no more anointing in the church "***forgetting that they would not remain baby Christains forever.
***Hebrews 5:14 KJV***
***But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.***
**#remember.....**
Being a Christian is not a battle free life. What makes the difference is that *GOD WOULD NEVER FORSAKE YOU DURING THE STORM*
***To be continued....***
Psalm twenty-three
Many believe the journey of life begins when a man is born. This is true to some level. But our journey & purpose in life begins when a man is **born again.**
***Psalm 23:1-2 KJV***
***The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. [2] He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters***.
**Keypoint 🔑....**
**Psalm 23:1KJV** marks the beginning of our journey & mission here on earth. Once a man genuinely repents and accepts Jesus he automatically accepts Jesus as his Shepard, marking the beginning of a race to **eternal life**
As a shepard, it is God's duity to provide & supply all our needs as it is our duity to obey and serve him.
**Psalm 23:2KJV** Once we accept Jesus as our Shepard we are like babies that need milk to grow. So the word of God is our **green pasture**
***1 Peter 2:2 KJV***
***As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:***
The storms we saw as impossible becomes notting, the rough sea becomes still waters, our prayers & request usually get quick answers beyond our expectations Just as a parent would never ignore the cries of a new born baby...
***1 Corinthians 3:2 KJV***
***I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.***
***To be continued...***

Power to Retain
***1 Samuel 13:14 KJV***
***But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee.***
The story of David & Saul has been a very interesting one. We have so many theories & reasons as to why saul could not retain the kingdown when david could. Some of this reasons we feel are.
▫️ Saul was not God's beloved , God choose Saul out of anger unlike David .
▫️ Saul was not obiedent & repentant like David
▫️ David was God's beloved because he knew the secret to God's heart. All these are reasons why we feel saul could not retain the kingdown but....
**it is one thing to be blessed, restored, set free by God..... And it is another thing to retain & maintain the position.**
****Keypoint**** 🔑
Saul lost the kingdown because he had no power to retain the position God has given to him. He forgot his beginning, saul felt the people were his helpers**(it was because of the people he became king)** so he needed to please them instead of pleasing God. To saul the people's feelings was what matters. **#remember...**
The ability to retain the position given to us by God, comes by pleasing God alone.
