The Dirt Cup, Skagit Speedway My wife and I went to the Skagit Raceway dirt cup the other night. It happened to be one of the hottest nights I’ve ever experienced in the Pacific Northwest. The race officials did postpone the start of the race from 7 PM to 8:30 PM, but we didn’t get word of that before we entered at about 645, nor did we get word of it until about 7:30pm. So we sat sweltering kind of needlessly.
We didn’t die, we had plenty of beverages including water, I had a couple of beers. It was fun hanging out watching the cleaning crew prepare etc. We always love going to the races and this was no exception. We’re also going to the Monroe race on the Fourth of July with my brother-in-law‘s, which is always fun. It’s going to be a fun couple of days and we’re really looking forward to it.
