Sherman Pass, WA As we continued on, we decided to stop at the top of Sherman pass for some lunch. We broke out the free cantaloupe we got from a farmer at smallwood farms. I had stepped out of my door in the morning while staying at smallwood farms harvest host, and came across a nice fellow. While we were chatting, he offered a free fresh picked cantaloupe, with nothing wrong with it but a small blemish that they consequently could not sell. I heartily accepted this offer, and this thing was beyond delicious. At this picnic spot, there was also a nice paved trail to some viewpoints. It was a nice rest and lunch for the journey.
