A cryptocurrency's value depends on these 2 major yet simple factors: 1. Supply/Scarcity/Rarity 2. Demand 1. A cryptocurrency is worth little, if not none if the supply is very high. Let's take a famous painter's art for example. If the painter is already deceased, his/her paintings would be valued more because people will be certain that the supply for his/her arts would be limited. People will want to have a piece of his/her paintings and will be willing to bid higher to win over other competitors. A cryptocurrency is just like that. The lower the supply, the more value it gets because people will appreciate the limited supply of cryptocurrency. 2. A cryptocurrency's worth can also be evaluated by the demand surrounding it. Even if the supply is limited, but no people are willing to buy and/or sell that particular cryptocurrency, it will never get valued. Mutual trust between the buyer and the seller makes it possible for the cryptocurrency to hold a certain value. Of course, more factors affect the value of a cryptocurrency, but I want to delve into what I think are the most fundamental factors surrounding a cryptocurrency's worth.
