The velvet leafed Senna is in full bloom in the fields around our house and in our back yard. I read that it is native to Northern Africa but I do not know how it got to the middle of Texas. The leaves are very soft to the touch and feel almost like velvet. I love these flowers because they indicate that fall has finally arrived.
