Blooms cheer me up when it is gloomy outside. It is always nice to see the Christmas cactus start to bloom around the holidays. It cheers me up when it is gloomy outside. We have had this cactus for about 5 years now. Before we moved, it did not bloom on a consistent basis but for the last two years in our new home it has bloomed each of those two years.
