In your own words and understanding, what is the difference between a LEVEL SURFACE and a FLAT SURFACE? There is a difference mind you. Happy Monday afternoon fellows. Update: ok other answers are close enough. The answer is flat surface is a surface which is free from undulation or "waviness" while a level surface is a surface that is lying exactly on 0 degree angle or horizontal so a ramp maybe flat but not levelled since it is inclined to some degree. A table maybe flat and levelled also.

Level is related to management Where flat is related to smoothness
