Inflation in the US almost did not fall in January 😳 The decline to 6.4% is only 0.1%, several times worse than the forecast (6.2%). This is definitely a bearish signal, but the markets are still trying to remain optimistic. Maybe they are counting on the Fed's dovish comments, representatives of the regulator will share their opinion on new statistics today. Or maybe they just want to attribute such a result to a change in the method of calculating inflation 🤷‍♂️ How long investors will ignore the harsh reality is the question...
