Let's go back to the beginning, before Satoshi. We had a world that worked for the few, for the greedy, powerful few. Code and technology has birthed a natural paradigm shift: in favor of many voices rather than the few unjust forceful voices who pushed and crushed and coerced with violent arms and arts. What Satoshi points to, 'we've gone down that road before' is a feeling we all know so well. The arrogant few say, 'we'll repeat history again and reap profits forever or until the sun expires'. But paradigm shifts come for a reason, just like if you cut down a forest, the dry seasons become far worse, and the rains may not come at all. What else are we seeing but the meltdown of all the legacy systems of civilization? That which worked before no longer works. But you try to strap a contraption, an unnaturally-fashioned saddle on an unruly stallion or bull like Bitcoin (centralization and KYC), you try to cheat death so to speak, you get a devil of a problem.... the desperation of nations, discord and a conclusion, an answer to the question: 'what becomes of man that rules using tyranny over man?'
