NOMAD bridge vulnerability occurs earlier yesterday -- costing somewhere around $165,000,000 (165 million USD) in BTC. Twitter user @samczun writes, 'My first thought was that there was some misconfiguration for the token's decimals. After all, it seemed as though the bridge was running a "send 0.01 WBTC, get 100 WBTC back" promotion' -- but in a way, he's not wrong. The bridge vulnerability enabled the thief to send just 0.01 bitcoin and get the transaction validated using old data. There was a missing step in validation of messages as well. This oops is completely on the programmers and would have been exploited in the coming days, weeks, months or years.
