Sherlock Holmes was not gay. Neither was Fay Valentine in Cowboy Bebop. The new Netflix remake is not originalist at all, but woke signaling as expected. Granted, the design and authentic nature of the sets, music and even titles was good... the rest was sadly disastrous. Jet Black (though he's not actually black) is cast pretty well, the actor playing this role does a very faithful voice re-enactment and even the manner and tone of his attitude is spot on. If you close your eyes, listen to Jet Black -- you'll think its the anime. As for Spike and Fay, its a lot of misses. Spike is not 40-50 years old first of all. Second, he is much taller with longer legs. The casting directors needed to find someone else. Despite this miscast actor, the man that plays Spike tries his best but doesn't really, truly fit somehow. When it comes to Fay, she wore a yellow, skimpy and purposeful outfit: she took advantage of her female attractiveness as a bounty hunter. She had big hips, she was also somewhat taller than the current cast in Netflix's remake. But more importantly, her voice is off quite a lot. There was another actress in the remake that was a far better fit. Sadly, due to woke signaling, Fay is not sexy and is actually somewhat flat chested too. Why does this matter at all? Cause this is happening in other games and media: characters like Tifa from FF7 and Bayonetta are being washed dry of any feminine sexuality and appeal. Women becoming men and men becoming women; the erasure of what was natural and right for the unnatural and strange being made the new Woke Landia of Netflix and the few, and the minority. Fay was never, ever gay. And there's more to be said about Ed; the child prodigy with cute, zany attitude. She will be turned into some perverse, sick thing in the next season if there is one. You can tell Netflixs' abuse and misappropriation-handedness heading into the next season. This was the primer. Julia never shot Spike, she is the love of his life, the only and one love of his and the reason everything is what it is in the original Cowboy Bebop. You can take the name and plaster it on a counterfeit but you'll never take Julia from Spike; they're together as a couple in a Romeo and Juliet-esque fantasy sci fi. Nonetheless, Netflix and wokelandia has done just that to prove that it is a counterfeit with the name "cowboy bebop" slapped on the side of this tall order of woke.
