So long have the lies been held in place, that people started to believe Google's Ethical AI collaborations. The plan was NEVER to make "AI safe to keep people from being taken advantage of" -- that abuse was always already taking place by Google -- it was to dole out the tech slowly so that no one could make leaps by using the technology. Narrative control. Truth: Google started using AI algorithms against us the moment it and Facebook began data storehouses on every conversation in our households and on phones. The ethical line was crossed there and then and hasn't stopped since. So TechCrunch's article(https://techcrunch.com/2022/08/12/a-startup-wants-to-democratize-the-tech-behind-dall-e-2-consequences-be-damned/), deluded by the lies of Google and Amazon and Apple's siren song of "ethical AI values" misses the point harshly. There is no harp song of "be the first in line" -- "sign up for beta testing". People are freely generating AI images at an astonishing pace, and improving the tech... so, what abuse? We may hear the odd story here and there but at the heart of it, the algorithms to generate code, written words, images, sounds and music are merely TOOLS. --It is the USER that determines whether their intentions are evil or good. Google has no right, nor ever will have that right, as it has already been chucked out of its self-assumed ethical role for the use of this tech. The false narrative used by tech giants like Google was a setup for ensuring leaps and bounds in advances could not be made on our own, using APIs that are 100% free and reliable without data snooping on the types of uses we find for the tech. Google Home, Siri and others all store the data to use on you.
