The current state of the crypto markets -- the major 10%+ drop -- has a negative effect. Many short positions opened by institutions wanting the price to tank and obviously they have lots to gain by decimating Bitcoin's image. But El Salvador has done more to crypto than we realize today. As Snowden put it, the race is on for adoption among countries. Everyone will want to stockpile for their own nation. Bitcoin is better than Gold and fiat by a huge margin and people will be earning livelihoods from staking it in various ways. NFT staking and liquidity-lending is already materializing as a reality. NFT is a new layer to the game industry with many unexplored facets to innovation yet to be unlocked. But primarily, everyone around the world knows corruption is rife in most governments, particularly when it comes to fiat. Many know about inflation nowadays and about the ever-rising debt ceiling. Some countries are on fire in a literal sense from a policy standpoint because their unaccountable leaders hyperinflated their national currency...that's only one of the many complaints the general public has about centralized financial power. With the genie out of the bottle, cryptocurrencies and open ledgers are here to stay and continue to become more stable. Cryptocurrencies can be reliable sources of income, a way to invest hard earned resources, a way of stability and security by way of decentralization and open source protocols and methods. I don't know which crypto will work out for you to give you that aha moment, but when you transact with a neighbor with zero fees and nearly instantaneously --> you'll think its the next best thing after cash. For status quo institutions to succeed in a crypto world, they would need to not be themselves and we know that's just never going to happen.
