Game dev update - GXP world map tests are successful. Players can pay GXP to help unlock zones - and direct the entire community to a new area that's available for adventuring, exploration, crafting and so on. This aspect has been at the core of the Cute Crushies vision: mainly, community directed exploration. The idea behind it is - optimistically - that players would cooperate over tasks and slowly 'vote' as they play. While the build up of points is slow, it would give the developers the time needed to polish and enhance the game, add events and more, extending the game's life beyond projections. When the zone is completely paid for in GXP, the area is unlocked to all players regardless of their contributions. Naturally, a contributions board to show recent payments is on the drawing board as well as other features to track GXP growth and usage globally.
