Max supply of an NFT can determine how scarce an NFT may become when all are minted, in the marketplace and in wallets. Some collections still have rare NFT's that can have a very high maximum supply like Cryptomonkeys and they retain and grow in value just the same. But as a general rule, the fewer max mintable vs max mintable of commons - the more scarce, the more valuable, the more bang for your buck in terms of flipping for profit.
